My name is Anna Standing and I live in St Albans with my husband and two children. I have always been interested in caring for people, beginning my career in the charity sector fundraising for the NSPCC. From here I took on a more direct role with children, spending 12 years as a primary school teacher.
It was when I became pregnant with my second son that I discovered the world of Reflexology. My son was breech and a friend recommended I have reflexology to help turn him naturally. Well it worked, and I was hooked! I found the treatment relaxing and rejuvenating. Over the years reflexology has helped me manage a range of personal ailments and I find it a great way to de-stress.
I decided I wanted to share these benefits with others and was inspired to become a Reflexologist myself. I trained at the London School of Reflexology in 2016/17, following which I set up my own practice, Verulam Reflexology.
As well as achieving my Diploma in Reflexology I have also received specialised training in techniques to support Pregnancy and Menopause, Babies and Toddlers, Spinal, and Lymphatic drainage as well as Facial Reflexology . I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists.
In 2019 I built a dedicated treatment room in my garden - my little sanctuary. If you would like to find out more about reflexology and how I can help you then please do get in touch.
